The Best of Thailand

· Photo Journal

I spent the day having breakfast with my dad, going to yoga, and doing something I haven't done since I returned home last summer: reading through my Southeast Asia guidebook. I've been reminiscing about my time in Thailand as I begin to plan my return this fall (so fucking stoked), and I thought I would share all of my favourite photos and experiences in one place. This post includes some of my favourite photos from Koh Phi Phi, Railay, Kanchanburi, Koh Phangan, Khao Sok National Park, Chiang Mai and Pai. For more information on these destinations check out my posts Highlights of Southern (Parts 1 and 2) and Northern Thailand. Happy Saturday everyone, please enjoy the scroll :)

Koh Phi Phi Islands

Maya Bay, Koh Phi Phi Islands.

Maya Bay, Koh Phi Phi Islands. Absolutely stunning, but quite busy!

Another must on Koh Phi Phi! It's a sweaty climb, but totally worth the view. P.S- there's ice cream at the top.

Railay, Krabi

Railay snorkel trip. Yes, it really is this beautiful. One of my favourite places in Thailand!

We snuck into this infinity pool at a place we couldn't afford to stay!

View from our rock climbing/ cave repelling escapade! One of the most memorable days spent in Railay.

Kanchanaburi

View from Tiger Temple in Kanchanaburi. There are NO tigers here, it is just the name of the temple. Ethical travel :)

Waterfall in Doi Inthanon National Park.

Last but certainly not least: Pai

More elephant hangs at Conserve Natural Forests in Pai. Donate 500baht (about $20CAD) and visit as many times as you like. Plant trees and hang out with rescued elephants like this one.

It's a bumpy road to get here, but worth it for the refreshing rush of this waterfall. Visit in or after rainy season to guarantee water! In the dry season this waterfall is nothing but a trickle.

If you've been debating whether or not to visit Thailand, I hope this swayed you to go! I can't wait to be back. For more photos check out notyouraveragetravel on Instagram! Happy travels everyone.
